Jon, Windy and the boys

Here are some of the shots we got two Sundays ago of my (CJ's) sister and her family. We had a blast! (Plus, I love showing the boys off...they are like my own.)

Tyler and Lesley

On June 14, two high school sweethearts started sharing the same last name. The wedding was in her grandmother's front yard, and every detail was thoughtful and personal. It was such a precious day; everybody involved was so excited, and it was more than obvious how much love they have surrounding them. I'm not sure I can think of one detail that could have gone any better throughout the entire day. That week, there was a chance of rain on Saturday, and the clouds were heavy and threatened a storm until about an hour before the ceremony--then, clouds opened up--for about 10 minutes. Chairs were quickly wiped off, and the show was back on the road, except the air was cooler and smelled cleaner. Even the rain was on their side!

Tyler and Lesley: Stephen and I are so grateful for our friendship with you, and count it such a great honor to have played this part in your wedding. We can't wait to show you the rest of the pictures!

Jeremy and Ginger

Jeremy and Ginger just celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. We had a great time walking around Kings Mountain (and maybe in some strange neighborhoods!) to get the best shots for them. We wanted to pick a few to post here to tease them, but it was such a struggle to pick out just three!

Jeremy and Ginger:
Thanks for asking us to do this shoot--and for the doughnuts afterward--and for your friendship!! We can't wait to show you the rest of your pictures. Happy Anniversary!

Aaron and Cari

A few months ago, we met Cari and Aaron who are planning a wedding next year. They are so precious--they compliment each other so well--and laugh all the time! After their engagement session, Steve and I were even more excited about getting to know them a little more and to play a little part in their special day.

Congrats you two!

Over The Mountain Triathlon

This last Saturday morning, the city of Kings Mountain hired Steve and me to work at the triathlon in town. We were so excited all week, but we had no idea what we were getting into. Watching the triathletes, we had several "wow" moments (and several "man, I'm lazy" moments). The human body truly is fearfully and wonderfully made!

During the race, we rode in our car to follow the bikers and stopped at a few "trademark" places in town. Steve took all of the pictures, and I was his driver. Sounds easy, right? My arms and hands were so sore after clenching the wheel. On country roads with little visibility, bikers in front and behind and Steve standing out of the sunroof taking shots it was pretty intense! We went on the 30 mile bike trail in an automobile, but looked wearier than the triathletes. This was a different experience than the usual, and we 're ready to do it again!

His grimace could have been a reaction to the 75 degree water!

From what I've heard, the ride through the park is one of the biggest attractions for the triathletes (and I don't blame them. It's one of our favorite spots!)

I saw this lady several times cheer for her husband: so sweet! This is Steve and me in our golden years (except for maybe the swiming, biking and running).
